UConn men’s college basketball head coach Dan Hurley shared a personal announcement on Instagram as the Huskies prepare for a road showdown against No. 10 St. John’s.

Dan Hurley To Detail Life Experiences
On Thursday, Feb. 20, Hurley announced that he would be releasing a tell-all biography titled, “Never Stop: Life, Leadership, and What It Takes to Be Great.”
Drawing from personal experiences, the book focuses on mental health and leadership strategies, which Hurley said aims to help other people succeed.
“I’ve confronted a lot of obstacles and adversity on my journey from a troubled college student to a two-time national champ at UConn, and I’m proud to share those stories–along with my leadership philosophies and methods in building a winning team–in my upcoming book, ‘Never Stop,'” he wrote. “Above all, I’m writing this to help people overcome and succeed. I hope you get a chance to read it.”

Hurley’s biography is expected to share his struggles with mental health, including battles with alcoholism, depression, and suicidal thoughts during his time at Seton Hall as a player, his family, and his coaching career, which began with Rutgers. The book is slated to be released in September.
UConn Gears Up for Tough Road Test vs. Rick Pitino’s St. John’s
Hurley’s Huskies will travel to New York to face Rick Pitino’s high-flying St. John’s team on Sunday.
For Duke men’s basketball coach Jon Scheyer, the showdown will be sold out because it is a big game in the history of Madison Square Garden.
“It’s a big weekend,” Scheyer said during a recent episode of “The Field of 68: After Dark.” “And just from what I’ve heard, it is as big of a game in college basketball in the history of the Garden with the interest and turnout.”
“It’s going to be sold out, and it’s going to be an amazing environment, which is what you want for your guys,” he added.
The last time the Huskies were at Madison Square Garden, Hurley had won his 300th game, leading the team to a 10-game winning streak in New York and a fourth consecutive win of the season. However, UConn has been inconsistent this season, losing 68-62 at home to St. John’s on Feb. 7.

St. John’s has an impressive 22-4 overall record and is 13-2 in the Big East this season. They will be expected to utilize its home advantage to get a second consecutive win over UConn.
However, the Huskies are entering the game following a 66-59 win over Villanova in Hartford, which is expected to galvanize them into extending their winning streak against the Red Storm.
