Michigan comes into this game ranked 20th in the country with an 18-5 record and is 10-2 in Big Ten conference play. The Wolverines are not a great team against the spread, only covering in 11 of their 23 games. As a home favorite, which they are tonight, the Wolverines are positive against the spread with a 6-5 record. In conference games, the Wolverines are a lousy 4-8 against the spread.
Purdue enters tonight as the seventh-ranked team in the country with a 19-5 record and is 11-2 in conference play. The Boilermakers perform better against the spread with a 14-10 overall record. Purdue is very good on the road against the spread with a 5-2 record, but when they are a road underdog, that record drops to 1-2 ATS. In Big Ten matchups, Purdue has covered 10 of their 13 games.

This game should come down to Michigan’s home court advantage. While I think Purdue should keep it close throughout and that this game will come down to the wire, to me they scream trap.
On DraftKings, 63% of the money line bets are on Purdue, and 59% of the spread bets are also on the Boilermakers. While it isn’t the most dramatic split, it is another reason to like Michigan in this one as a sharp play.
Overall I think this game remains close throughout, but the Wolverines come out on top in a fairly high scoring game.
