The last remaining teams in the Pac-12, both the Oregon State Beavers and Washington State Cougars agreed to a two-year membership of the West Coast Conference (WCC) prior to the season. While this goes down as an ordinary conference game on the schedule, it means more to these two schools; consider it the Pac-12 championship game.

The Beavers bring a 16-7 record into this matchup, including 6-4 in WCC play — good for fifth in the standings. They have a remarkable 16-6 record ATS on the season, including 12-1 at Gill Coliseum. They’ve covered six of their past eight games.
The over has also proven to be a good play for Oregon State; of their 22 games, 14 of them have gone over the listed point total. Stunningly, nine of the Beavers’ ten conference games have gone over as well.
Washington State is 15-9 on the season, with a 5-6 conference record, placing them in the seventh spot in the WCC. They’re 14-10 ATS, but only 2-3 as an underdog on the road.
The Cougars are relatively in the middle as far as over/under goes. 45.8% of their games have gone over, including five of 11 in conference play. A key stat as it pertains to this matchup, however: only two of nine games as an underdog have gone over.

Prediction for Oregon State vs. Washington State
Oregon State is coming in as the favorite in this matchup, having had an excellent season to date relative to pre-season expectations. After both their starting point guard and starting forward transferred to Power Four schools, guys had to step up for the Beavers.
Rataj has done just that, more than doubling his scoring average while increasing both his field goal percentage and 3-point percentage. His 17.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game lead the way for the Beavers. Two transfer guards have also helped Oregon State exceed expectations. Nate Kingz is second on the team in scoring, pouring in 12.1 points per game, shooting an exceptional 48.4% from deep. Damarco Minor leads the team in assists with over five a game.
Washington State has dropped four consecutive games and are hoping to get back in the win column against the Beavers.

They have an extremely balanced attack, but the head of the snake is Calmese. During the four-game losing streak, he’s averaging only 8.5 ppg — down from his season average of 15.8 ppg. In their last two wins, he scored a combined 50 points. 6’6″ forward LeJuan Watts plays bigger than his size, grabbing 7.4 rebounds per game to go along with 13.6 points per game. Three other Cougars average double-figure scoring.
All signs point toward the Beavers taking this one at home. Although our metrics signal that the line is a tad high, I like Oregon State to cover the -6.5 — we’re going with the numbers here, and the Beavers are 12-1 ATS at home.
The Cougars have had trouble scoring as of late, with only two of their last seven games going over the total. While nine of the Beavers’ 10 outings in conference have gone over, I trust the bet of their point total going over the listed 76.5. The Beavers’ WCC home game scoring: 89, 81, 97, 83, 83. That should be an easy over, so we’ll take that as well.
An interesting bet to throw in there, considering what the spread is listed at, is Oregon State to win by 1-10 points. The value is there at +165, and if the spread is anywhere near correct, that will be a winning bet.
I expect the Cougars to be leaving Corvallis with a fifth straight loss — and for that reason, we’re loading up on the Beavers, who can move into a tie for fourth place in the conference with a W.
Picks: Oregon State -6.5, Oregon State over 76.5 points, Oregon State to win by 1-10 points
Prediction: Oregon State 82, Washington State 73
