The Oklahoma Sooners and Georgia Bulldogs will meet in the SEC Tournament on Wednesday, March 12, with both of their seasons on the line.
However, the Sooners appear to be dealing with more injuries at this point in time.

Who’s In, Who’s Out for No. 14 Oklahoma vs No. 11 Georgia?
The Sooners are the ones dealing with the injury woes ahead of the matchup.
For the Sooners, power forward Sam Godwin has been ruled out due to a knee injury that caused him to miss practice on Tuesday.
Also, forward Glenn Taylor Jr. is listed as probable to play after practicing fully on Tuesday, as he wore a sleeve on his right leg.
Oklahoma’s Sam Godwin (knee) is now OUT for Wednesday’s SEC Tournament game against Georgia, per the SEC Injury Report.

The Bulldogs are clean from the injury slate as of right now. This could be where they can take advantage.
Healthier teams always have a better chance in any sport, but that is especially the case when it comes to college basketball in the month of March.
A Do-or-Die Game
For the Bulldogs and Sooners, both of their seasons have come down to this matchup in Nashville.
The Sooners finished the regular season with an overall record of 19-12 but a conference record of just 6-12. Porter Moser’s team has key wins over Arizona, Louisville, Michigan, and Missouri.
However, they also have struggled in the conference and have lost to struggling teams such as South Carolina and LSU. The Sooners need to go on a run in the SEC Tournament if they want to make the NCAA Tournament. For the Bulldogs, they are in a similar boat.

Mike White’s team has a fine regular-season record of 20-11 overall, but they also have a record that is below .500 in the conference (8-10). Now, they do have key wins over St. John’s, Kentucky, and Florida. Yet, they have also lost to bad teams like the South Carolina Gamecocks.
This is a team that can slam the door shut on the idea of missing the NCAA Tournament with a couple of wins in Nashville this week. This game is everything to both of these teams.
The loser could very well be sweating profusely on Selection Sunday if they end up being one-and-done in the conference tournament.
