    Nikolas Khamenia Calls Nate Ament the ‘Superstar’ Piece Duke Needs to Complete Its 2025 Class

    Duke commit, and four-star recruit Nikolas Khamenia had high praise for five-star recruit and No. 4 recruit in the class of 2025 Nate Ament. In a press conference at McDonald’s All-American Media Day with five-star recruit and No. 4 recruit in the class of 2025 Cam Boozer, Khamenia said Ament might be just what Duke needs on their team.

    Ament, down to just five finalists, told reporters he would not announce his commitment on Tuesday, April 1. The 6’9” forward is considering Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisville, and Duke and is the highest-ranked uncommitted player left in the 2025 cycle.

    Nikolas Khamenia Thinks Nate Ament Is the ‘Superstar’ Duke Needs in 2025

    Khamenia told the press he’s put “a lot of work in” recruiting Ament, and he’s the “superstar” piece Duke needs to complete their 2025 recruiting class.

    Ament took official visits to multiple schools, most recently Arkansas, on March 8. He visited Duke on Jan. 31.

    On Monday, Kentucky recruit Malachi Moreno was asked about his recruiting pitch to Ament during media day.

    “My pitch has been just, you see what Kentucky has. They have legends. They have a crazy fanbase,” Moreno said. “An amazing coach, an amazing coaching staff. Awesome facilities. It’s a great place to be. It’s really basketball-focused and a real, true place where you can grow and reach your dreams.”

    Ament visited Kentucky on Feb. 11.

    The five-star recruit stressed during media day that he’s looking for two main things in recruitment: coaching and a good recruiting class.

    With four five-stars already committed, Duke ranks at the top of the pack, according to 247 Sports. With coach John Calipari at the helm, Arkansas ranks fourth with two five-stars and a four-star recruit. Kentucky, led by coach Mark Pope, sits in sixth with two five-stars and a four-star recruit. Tennessee and Louisville rank 39th and 62nd, respectively.
