March Madness might lack Cinderella stories, but there is one storyline that nobody can ignore. And that is of McNeese student manager Amir “Aura” Khan. While managers are often just behind the scenes, Khan has become the Cowboys’ hype man, cultural icon, and internet sensation all in one.

Amir Khan Gets an Under Armour Jumpsuit to Up the Aura
It all started on February 22, when Khan, with a massive boombox slung around his neck, led the team out of the locker room. And he did it all, rapping Lud Foe’s “In & Out” word for word
The moment went viral, and since then, he has been impossible to ignore. CBS cameras even made sure to catch him leading McNeese onto the floor before their first-round game against Clemson.
Looking at where Khan is standing right now, he is on a rollercoaster that only seems to be going up.
McNeese manager Amir “Aura” Khan now has a customized Under Armour jumpsuit. Company reps flew into Providence last night.
I’m told he has 12 NIL deals, all totaling well into the six figures. Buffalo Wild Wings, TickPick and TurboTax are the three biggest. Nothing like March. pic.twitter.com/Jl0DctW6K1

What does one do when they become the face of college basketball’s biggest Cinderella story? Well, get a custom jumpsuit for one. Moments before McNeese’s match against Purdue, Under Armour flew into Providence.
Under Armour came in to give Khan his very own, all-yellow, personalized jumpsuit. They added a pair of shoes, of course. The suit had “Aura” emblazoned on the back. Now, this is a student manager. Let’s not forget that part.
To make it even better, Under Armour is just one name on the long list of brands lining up to work with him. According to CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander, Khan has 12 NIL deals, pushing his earnings well into six figures.
Khan, who started the season with water bottles in his hand, now has deals with brands like Buffalo Wild Wings, TickPick, and TurboTax, among others. And it’s not just brands taking notice. McNeese’s cheerleaders have also played into the hype. They were spotted sporting socks with Khan’s face on them.
So, what does the NIL frenzy in the Khan books look like?
It Is 135 Calls & Counting
While six figures are big, from the looks of it, Khan’s numbers are going to grow further. The offers are pouring in so fast that McNeese has fielded over 135 calls from companies eager to add their name to the Khan brand.
Wendy’s wanted in, but the Buffalo Wild Wings deal got in the way. Even the producers of Yellowstone have reached out, and he’s got a meeting with Barstool Sports lined up in Chicago, as per his agent. And if McNeese has another upset, this will grow!

With head coach Will Wade reportedly heading to NC State, it only makes sense that Khan follows suit. And let’s be honest, by this time next year, with basketball money flowing in. Khan could be making seven figures.
Come what may, one thing is for sure. The Khan Aura isn’t fading anytime soon.
