Mark Pope’s Daughter Avery’s Father’s Day Post for Dad Melts Hearts

Mark Pope might not always be cheered by Kentucky fans especially after his miscalculation around recruiting earlier this year, but it’s clear that his kids will always love him.

That love was on display as Mark Pope’s daughter, Avery, took to Instagram to post a very sweet video full of memories and love for her dad on Father’s Day.

Fans were just as happy for Mark Pope and his family as the world saw a softer side of the Kentucky head coach.

“He’s just a great Dad and a really good man 🙌🙌👏👏💙💙💙,” one fan commented on the post.

“This is the cutest thing evah 💙💙💙,” another wrote.

“I teared up:) This is so sweet! You have a great Dad and we are quite fond of him too. Happy Belated Father’s Day Coach 💙,” one fan said.

“💙💙💙🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Happy Father’s Day, Coach! You have a beautiful family 🥹,” another fan agreed.

“My gosh. This is precious. 🥹❤️,” one more chimed in.

Mark Pope’s Focus Shifts to Recruiting

While the Father’s Day post would have melted the heart of Mark Pope himself, he is all about work at the moment. After securing the commitments of Milan Momcilovic and Ryan Hampton, the Wildcats head coach has his focus on the 2027 class, with Marcus Spears Jr. the main target.

Spears Jr. is expected to visit Kentucky soon, all while Pope makes a pitch to recruit other players for this season too. Nikola Kusturica of Serbia continues to be linked with the Lexington outfit, while a new assistant coach is also expected to join his staff.

And all this happens while a new AD takes charge at Kentucky in the form of J Batt, who will be keeping a close eye on Pope as pressure and expectation mounts on the coach with all the money being spent.
