Top Five Transfer Portal Landing Spots for Center Lathan Sommerville
Ohio State
Sommerville maybe a good bet to stay in the Big 10, and the Buckeyes, who finished 17-15 and 10th in the conference, has a huge hole in the paint. Sommerville’s double-double potential inside would provide balance to the current guard-heavy attack.

Missouri
The Tigers have made the NCAA Tournament two out of the three seasons coach Dennis Gates has been at the helm. The Tigers received less than five points and just six rebounds a game from the center position, so an upgrade there would be welcomed.
Villanova
The Wildcats went 19-14 and missed out on the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year, resulting in coach Kyle Neptune’s firing. Whoever takes the helm needs some heft inside to match up better in Big East play. The 6’10”, 275-pound center would fit the bill.
Clemson
Coach Brad Brownell led the Tigers to a 27-7 record and a tie for second in the Atlantic Coast Conference before bowing out in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against McNeese St. He loses Russian big man Viktor Lahkin and burly forward Ian Scieffelin, who combined for nearly 24 points and 16 rebounds per game.
Sommerville could replace some of that production immediately.

Bradley
This may be a longshot, but the Braves, who lost to Drake in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament championship game, reside in Sommerville’s hometown of Peoria. His father, Marcellus, was a three-time All-MVC forward at the school. And the team’s current roster is devoid of a difference-making big man.
