Kiyan Anthony on why he chose Syracuse for his college career

Shortly after committing to the Syracuse Orange, Kiyan Anthony spoke with ESPN and shared his reasoning for joining the ACC program:

“Ultimately, it came down to my relationship with the staff,” Kiyan said in November. “From day one, when they started recruiting me, they made me feel like it was family. “When I think of Syracuse basketball, I think of the 30,000 fans going crazy in the Dome,” Anthony said. “We want to give Syracuse basketball our best. With Sadiq White and the rest of my teammates, we’ll put on a show for the fans at Syracuse.”

It’s clear that for him, his father’s legacy with the program was a key factor in his decision to join them. Kiyan, in turn, was considered a four-star recruit by 247Sports at the time of his commitment. He’s the top recruit out of the state of New York, seventh-best shooting guard in the nation, and the 32nd overall prospect in the country for the class of 2025.
