Kon Knueppel, Duke’s budding basketball star, comes from a family with a rich basketball tradition. His four younger brothers Kager, Kinston, Kash, and Kidman have all followed in his athletic footsteps, making the Knueppel name a hallmark of basketball success.

Meet Kon Knueppel’s Siblings: The Next Generation of Basketball Stars
The Knueppel brothers are proof of athletic nepotism at their best. Kon II’s father, also known as Kon, was inducted into the Wisconsin Lutheran College Hall of Fame barely 10 years ago, and his mother, Chari, is an outstanding individual in her very own.
Kager Knueppel
Kager, who is 6’8″, played alongside Kon during Wisconsin Lutheran High School’s undefeated 30-0 season. His strong performance grabbed attention, and he received his first Division I offer in December 2024.
Kinston, Kash, and Kidman
Kinston, the second eldest, has only recently begun his high school career and is already demonstrating athletic ability. Kash is nearing his final year of middle school, and Kidman is in seventh grade. All three are committed basketball players, showing that the Knueppel family’s dominance in the sport will last for many more decades.
The Knueppel brothers’ love of basketball is firmly nurtured, thanks to their parents’ impressive achievements. Their father, Kon Knueppel Sr., was a standout player at Wisconsin Lutheran College, finishing as the school’s all-time leading scorer until 2019.

Knueppel Sr. is currently leveraging his experience as head coach of the Wisconsin Lutheran women’s basketball team. Their mother, Chari Nordgaard Knueppel, was Wisconsin-Green Bay’s all-time best scorer with 1,964 points.
With such historical roots and relentless commitment, the Knueppel siblings are ready to make enormous strides in basketball and extend their family’s athletic legacy.
Will Kon Knueppel Be Drafted?
It’s safe to say that due to his immediate success with the Duke program, Kon himself is likely set to make similar waves in the NBA once he declares for the draft. The latest College Sports Network 2025 NBA Mock Draft saw Knueppel selected with the 10th overall pick.
And it’s easy to see why:
CSN’s Cam Mellor had this to say about Knueppel’s selection to the Portland Trailblazers at No. 10:
Sliding into the Trailblazers’ relatively stacked but sometimes limited roster, Knueppel’s skill set plays well off fellow creators Deni Avdija, Scoot Henderson, and Donovan Clingan. At this point of the draft, Knueppel is unrivaled with his catch-and-shoot ability, and he fills a void as a vital component to Portland’s top-end depth.
