Kezza Giffa Transfer Portal: Top 5 Landing Spots for the High Point’s Guard

After a surprise season that propelled them into the NCAA Tournament, the High Point Panthers will lose standout guard Kezza Giffa to the transfer portal. Giffa made the announcement following High Point’s first-round loss to Purdue.

Giffa turned in a solid performance in the opening round, scoring eight points. But for High Point, a Cinderella run wasn’t meant to be. With Giffa now exploring his options, where could he land next?

    Where Could Kezza Giffa Transfer?

After beginning his college career at UTEP in 2021, Giffa spent the past two seasons with High Point. Now, with one year of eligibility remaining, the senior guard is looking for a new home.

    Villanova Wildcats

Villanova turned in a respectable season, finishing 19-14. While the Wildcats didn’t earn a March Madness bid, they’re set to face Colorado in the opening round of the College Basketball Crown postseason tournament.

Veterans Eric Dixon, Wooga Poplar, Jhamir Brickus and Enoch Boakye have led the way for Villanova. Adding a scoring threat like Giffa—who averaged 14.6 points per game on 44.0% shooting (stat may require verification)—could give the Wildcats a boost. He’s arguably playing the best basketball of his career.

    Pittsburgh Panthers

Another potential fit could be Pittsburgh. The Panthers went 17-15 this season and finished ninth in the ACC—short of the NCAA Tournament cut.

With players like Jahland Lowe, Ishmael Leggett and Zack Austin already in place, Pitt could be an appealing destination. The program has a history of success and is eager to return to the national conversation. Giffa could help bridge that gap—even if only for a year.

    Wichita State Shockers

Wichita State had a competitive season, going 19-15 and finishing eighth in the American Athletic Conference. The Shockers were knocked out in the first round of the NIT by Oklahoma State, losing by 10.

The roster includes talented players like Xavier Bell, Quincy Ballard, Bijan Cortes and Harlond Beverly. Adding Giffa to that mix could be an ideal fit—potentially allowing him to follow in the footsteps of former Shockers standout Tyson Etienne.

Duke Blue Devils or NC State Wolfpack

Born in Paris, France, Giffa may also consider staying local in North Carolina. If he does, programs like Duke or NC State could be in play.

Duke is a perennial powerhouse and an attractive destination for virtually any transfer. Meanwhile, NC State offers a more local, familiar setting—something that could appeal to Giffa as he makes his next move.
