On Monday night, the Houston basketball team played Kansas for their final regular-season home game. Before the game, the Cougars commemorated all of their seniors, and head coach Sampson shared an emotional moment with Roberts.
While being honored, Roberts stepped up and hugged his head coach, and Sampson burst into tears. Houston won the game 65-59.

Roberts, a 6’8″ forward, has been an integral part of the Houston basketball team. He redshirted during the 2019-20 season, received an additional COVID-19 waiver, and is one of the final “COVID waiver” players, finishing his six-year career with the Cougars.
