UMass guard Jaylen Curry is entering the transfer portal, his agents told The Field of 68. The sophomore averaged 13.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game for the Minutemen this season. Here are five potential transfer portal landing spots for Curry.

Top Five Transfer Portal Landing Spots for UMass Guard Jaylen Curry
Wake Forest
While the Demon Deacons didn’t look Curry’s way out of high school, Steve Forbes’ team, the closest Power 4 school to his hometown, Charlotte, NC, could look his way now. With starters Hunter Sallis and Cameron Hildreth out the door in Winston-Salem, Forbes has big holes to fill. Curry could also opt to go to the other North Carolina ACC powerhouses — UNC, NC State, or Duke — instead.
Alabama
Head coach Nate Oats’ Crimson Tide team is hot and rolling on their way to the Sweet 16, but the team that once recruited Curry may have to look his way again. Curry initially opted out of Alabama with a much-too-crowded guard room, but with three of Alabama’s top five guards — Mark Sears, Latrell Wrightsell Jr., and Chris Youngblood — headed out the door this summer, Tuscaloosa may look ever more enticing.
Memphis
The Tigers and head coach Penny Hardaway are set to lose Tyrese Hunter and Colby Rogers this summer. After a run that saw them win the American Conference regular season and tournament titles, Memphis will look to reload after an NCAA tournament upset loss to Colorado State. We could see them approach the guard they tried to recruit from high school.
Virginia Tech
Head coach Mike Young’s Hokies made a push for Curry out of high school and are situated not too far from Charlotte. Virginia Tech’s guard room is young, but with sophomores Rodney Brown, Brandon Rechsteiner, and Jaydon Young already entering the portal, Curry could find himself at the top of the bunch.
Florida State
While the now-retired Leonard Hamilton made the initial contact with Curry, the prospect of playing for the young Luke Loucks could appeal to him.

Florida State is not exactly stacked in the backcourt, and the loss of top guard Jamir Watkins means plenty of minutes are up for grabs.
