Virginia forward Jacob Cofie is hitting the portal, according to On3’s Joe Tipton.
The freshman averaged 7.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game this season for the Cavaliers.

Top Five Landing Spots for Virginia Forward Jacob Cofie
Here are five potential landing spots for the former four-star recruit.
Colorado
Head coach Tad Boyle and the Buffaloes made a run at Cofie as he made his decision last year. Now, a team that has lost starter Andrej Jakimovski and senior Trevor Baskin to the forward position could look to replace them with young ACC talent.
UNLV
The Rebels were another team that tried to make a run at Cofie last year. The Mountain West team is set to start anew with the hire of head coach Josh Pastner and the loss of two of their top three forwards to eligibility. With another four forwards hitting the portal, they could undoubtedly use Cofie’s help.
Washington
Danny Sprinkle’s Husky team struggled in their first year in the Big Ten and now lost all three forwards on their roster to seniority and the portal. Cofie is a Bellevue, Washington native, and could be looking at a starting spot on a Big Ten team.
Washington State
David Riley’s Cougar team recruited Cofie out of high school and will be looking to beef up the frontcourt, with two of their top three forwards graduating. They could look to the Washington native to come home.

Gonzaga
But he could instead opt to head to Spokane. While Mark Few’s Bulldogs didn’t look Cofie’s way as a high schooler, a year of development could change their minds. Senior Ben Gregg put in the minutes for Gonzaga, clocking about 20 a game, and with his graduation, they should be looking for a replacement.
With Virginia transfer Jalen Warley already committing midseason to the Bulldogs, perhaps he can put in a good word.
