Laura shared multiple photos, posing in a striking all-white ensemble. Her outfit featured a luxurious white faux-fur jacket layered over a form-fitting white bodysuit and matching leggings. She completed the look with white high-heeled boots.

Alijah Arenas Opens Up About the Influence of His Mother Laura Govan Amid Recovery and Basketball Journey

Ahead of the 2025 McDonald’s All‑American Game, Alijah Arenas gave a shout-out to his mother, Laura Govan, and her contribution in her basketball journey so far.

“My mom is very special. She’s very supportive,” Arenas said. “She’s very outgoing, and my sisters are the same way. They aren’t shy — just like me.”

Arenas shared further insights into her personality as he aims to bring smiles to several faces, especially those who are close to him.

“I realize there’s more to life than just basketball and what you can really get out of basketball,” Arenas said. “My goal is to open a lot of doors (in life) through basketball… I have my bad days, but my day always gets better when I see someone else smiling.

“I’m kind of a guy that just likes to laugh and have fun, that’s my thing. No matter where I am … I just want to make everybody smile.”

Earlier this year, Alijah Arenas had to be hospitalized following a fatal accident, leading him to be placed in a coma. His Tesla Cybertruck crashed into a tree. ESPN confirmed that there were no broken bones because of the accident. In July, it was reported that Arenas won’t play for six to eight months because of a torn meniscus that required surgery.
