Fans have praised the impact of John Calipari on the Arkansas Razorbacks players after they secured another win. The Razorbacks won a thrilling overtime game over the Texas Longhorns at Bud Walton Arena on Feb. 26, 2025.
It was Arkansas’ second consecutive win and Calipari is receiving praises for what he has been able to do with the boys.
Fans Praise Calipari and Arkansas After Texas Win
The Razorbacks’ season has been up and down, but their last two wins have changed the mood of the fans.
Going into the game against Texas, Arkansas hoped to build on their 92-85 win over Missouri. And they did just that as they played out a thrilling game to secure an 86-81 win in overtime.
After the game, fans could not hide their delight, with many taking to social media to praise Calipari and the players.
“The job isn’t done, but Coach Calipari has turned these entitled boys into men during the course of the season. Truly a master of the game,” a fan exclaimed.
“This team could have laid down and quit when they were being skull drug early in SEC play. They could have quit when Boogie went down with injury. They could have quit when they only had 7 available players. Instead they’ve played with an insane amount of grit and guts,” another fan said.
“This year has been a rollercoaster. And the story isn’t written yet, but….we closed 2 chapters in the book. Beat UK and swept Texas. It’s not everything but it’s something. Now let’s finish this and go dancing,” a fan echoed the same view.
The fans just could not contain their excitement, with one even saying he’s going to lose his voice.
“I’ll have a bit of a hoarse voice tomorrow morning…but it’s TOTALLY worth it!!! Woo Pig Sooieeeee!!!” another fan said.
“I couldn’t breathe at the end there, but that was a tough fight from the Hogs at the end of that one! And so without further ado, I present this picture to you all for a second time this season😅,” another fan said.
“I thought Big Z grew up in overtime. The Hogs went to him on three straight possessions and he delivered. He scored the Hogs first six points of OT.,” another fan said.
Dajuan Wagner Jr. and Zvonimir Ivisic Shine in Arkansas’ Win Over Texas
Arkansas had to show a lot of heart in the win as they gave up a 12-point lead with about seven minutes to go.
Zvonimir Ivisic was the best player on the floor as he recorded 18 points, two assists and seven rebounds. Dajuan Wagner Jr also chipped in with 16 points, five assists and two rebounds.

Aside from those two, the most impressive player for the Razorbacks was Travon Brazille, who had one of his best games of the year with 12 points and eight rebounds after replacing the injured Adou Thiero in the lineup.
