    ‘Holy S**t!’ — Fans Go Crazy After Heartbreak at the Buzzer for Rutgers

    The Michigan Wolverines’ thrilling game against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Feb. 27, 2025, sent both fans in the arena and on social media wild. 

    Michigan was trailing by one point with 3.3 seconds to go before Nimari Burnett unleashed a three pointer to seal the win at the buzzer.  The win improved the Wolverines’ record to 22-6 while the Knights dropped to 14-15 following the loss.

    Fans Go Crazy at Michigan, Rutgers Finish

    The game was filled with drama from start to finish, with Rutgers sealing a 57-49 first half win before the Wolverines stormed back to take the second half 35-25. 

    However, the top moment that got many fans talking was Burnett’s 3-pointer that sealed the win at the buzzer. 

    Following the game, fans expressed their excitement on social media, with many looking forward to March Madness. 

    “HOLY S***!” a fan could not believe what he saw

    “Starting to feel like March…,” a fan said.

    “March is looming…,” another fan echoed the same statement. 

    Fans continued to comment on the dramatic win, with some praising Burnett’s audacity. 

    “Nimari Burnett walking into class tomorrow,” a user said

    “Nimari gonna be the big man on campus tomorrow,” another fan said

    Michigan vs. Rutgers Thriller

    Michigan was the favourite going into the game as they were playing a side with a losing record in their division. The Wolverines had also won their last game and had the advantage of playing at home. 

    However, the Scarlet Knights did not play like a team with a 14-15 record as Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey gave them a 57-49 halftime lead.

    The Knights were up by 12 with 11 minutes left to play, but the Wolverines rallied back before Burnett knocked down the 3-pointer to seal the remarkable win. 

    Burnett was one of the best players on the floor as he dropped 20 points, two assists and four rebounds. Valdislav Goldin was, however, the leading scorer for the Wolverines with 22 points, two assists and 11 rebounds.
