    Izaiah Pasha Attracts High-Major Interest

Following a stellar season with Delaware, where he earned Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Year honors. Pasha has also received interest from an array of powerhouse programs.

Schools such as Texas Tech, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Colorado, Michigan, Providence, College of Charleston, Gonzaga, and DePaul are reportedly interested.

They all have expressed interest in recruiting the dynamic guard. The Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, native confirmed to TPR that these schools have been in contact. This signaled just how coveted he has become in the transfer market.

At 6’4″, Pasha showcased an all-around game during his time at Delaware. That’s where he averaged 11.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per contest. His efficiency around the rim was particularly impressive.

Not only was it impressive but he converted 66.4% of his attempts at the basket on 3.7 tries per game.

He also demonstrated a solid shooting style by knocking down 55.8% of his two-point shots and 33.3% from beyond the arc. In 19 games, he recorded double-digit scoring performances, including two games in which he exceeded the 20-point mark.

His ability to impact the game in multiple ways has made him a valuable asset, especially in the eyes of high-major programs looking to add talent to their rosters.

Pasha’s Fit with Penn State and Other Interested Schools

Among the teams actively pursuing Pasha, Penn State has reportedly already contacted him. The Nittany Lions, led by head coach Mike Rhoades, are looking for players who fit their system. Well, it’s safe to say that Pasha’s skill set aligns well with Rhoades’ philosophy.

Though Penn State requires frontcourt depth, Pasha’s versatility as a two-way player makes him an attractive option. His ability to get downhill and attack the basket complements Rhoades’ emphasis on aggressive, up-tempo basketball.

However, one potential concern for Penn State is Pasha’s three-point shooting. While he is a reliable scorer inside the arc, he has yet to establish himself as a consistent perimeter threat. However, that’s an area where the Nittany Lions could benefit from improvement.

With top programs vying for his commitment, the talented guard will have no shortage of options. His next move will determine his future and have an impact on his college basketball career this season.
