UConn Men’s basketball head coach Dan Hurley has said that his team has no injury worries ahead of their game against Georgetown but expects a difficult matchup.
The Huskies return to action on Feb. 26, 2025, with the aim of returning to winning ways, having lost their most recent game.
The game against Georgetown is the start of the Huskies’ last four games of the regular season ahead of the NCAA Tournamnet.

Dan Hurley Expecting a Difficult Match Against Georgetown
The Huskies come into this match on the back of a disappointing 75-89 loss at St John’s on Feb. 23, 2025.
While it was a disappointing loss, Hurley is already looking forward to the game against Georgetown, saying they did not pick up any new injuries following the loss.
“Health-wise, just the same. No issues coming out of the game. So, yeah, everyone is fine,” Hurley said in his pregame conference shared on the UConn Huskies’ YouTube page.
Georgetown will be without Thomas Sorber, who is out for the rest of the season. Nonetheless, Hurley says the matchup will still be a difficult one for his side as he expects the Hoyas to reinvent themselves.
“Yeah, reinventing themselves on the fly, and you are just dealing with, you know, five out,” Hurley continued.
“They are shooting a lot of threes, spacing you out. Three guys on the perimeter at guard that you’ve got to deal with.”
“Yeah, they are going to put you in space, and you are going to have an opposite guard at the three-point line, so it’s going to be a little bit more unconventional,” Hurley added.
Hurley’s UConn Finding Consistency
It has been an uncharacteristic month for the Huskies as they have struggled to put a run of consistent results.
UConn is 3-3 this month, losing to St John’s twice and Seton Hall. They are currently fourth in the Big East division with a record of 10-6 and an overall record of 18-9.
