“I haven’t had much to brag on this year, but let me go ahead and say it: War, damn eagle.”
As per usual with the NBA on TNT crew, they were having a lot of fun with each while Barkley was poking fun at his somewhat suspect spelling skills. But of course, Barkley is all in on what his Tigers can accomplish this season.
As a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, head coach Bruce Pearl and Co. have as good a chance as anybody to take down the nets in early April.
Auburn’s Impressive Season
Despite not being able to win their conference tournament, the Tigers have proven this year that they are one of the country’s best teams.
Going 28-5 overall ahead of the NCAA Tournament, Auburn was able to win plenty of key games and stay at the top of the rankings for most of the college basketball season. Pearl’s team beat good teams in Houston, Iowa State, Memphis, Purdue, Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, and Texas A&M.
Auburn’s portfolio is among the best in the tournament field, and It has a good chance of making a run at the Final Four. The entire game goes through star forward Johni Broome.
