The No. 1 Auburn Tigers are coming off a massive road win over in-state rival and then-No. 2-ranked Alabama last Saturday. However, head coach Bruce Pearl wants the team to now stay focused as it is set to welcome in a sneaky yet desperate Arkansas team Wednesday.

Bruce Pearl, Auburn Not Sleeping on Arkansas
While speaking with the media on Tuesday, Pearl discussed why the team cannot and should not overlook the unranked Razorbacks.
“Arkansas is talented enough and good enough to beat anybody in our league. They’ve obviously proven it,” he stated about the John Calipari-led team.

Of course, Pearl is referencing the Razorbacks’ win earlier in the season on the road in Rupp Arena against Calipari’s former team, the Kentucky Wildcats.
They were also able to beat a then top-12 team in the country in Michigan earlier on in the season and only lost to No. 4-ranked Alabama by four points earlier this month.
Still, Arkansas has had a less-than-ideal season, with an overall record of 15-10 and just 4-8 in the SEC. Regardless, their head coach is not one to be messed with, given his track record, and the team itself is fighting to stay alive for the chance to make it to the NCAA Tournament.
Auburn’s Recent Dominance
It would be unwise to expect a letdown from Pearl and his team on Wednesday night, even if the Razorbacks are sneaky.
In many ways, the Tigers look like the best team in the country, and they have proven that week in and week out. They have nine top-25 wins this season, and six of those have come against teams within the top 15.

Auburn is currently atop the SEC with a record of 11-1 in conference play. Thanks to the performances of standout players, such as forward Johni Broome, guard Denver Jones, and guard Chad Baker-Mazara, there might not be a deeper team in America at this point in time.
If you are a team with Auburn on your schedule, you might want to come ready to play.
