While the Thursday night slate isn’t as loaded as a few other days this week, there are still 58 games, most of them involving mid-majors and non-Power conferences.
But with so many games, how will you choose what to bet? Never fear, College Sports Network is here to give you the best college basketball bets today.
CSN’s Favorite College Basketball Bets: Jan. 30
Conference play is in full swing and teams have shown us their true colors. With plenty of games on the slate, it can be overwhelming to pick and choose which games are worth your time, and your money.
We’re here to give you our three favorite plays of the night. Remember, be smart and don’t spend what you don’t have. If you’re looking to get in on the action though, we’re here to help. In addition to our daily best college basketball bets, we will also have individual betting previews for the night’s best games.
If not for a late North Carolina choke, we would have been perfect on Tuesday. Now, I’m looking to build on that momentum. For the overall slate Thursday, here are my three best college basketball bets of the night.
New Hampshire vs. Maine -12.5
These two teams in the American East are trending in opposite directions. The Maine Black Bears are on a five-game winning streak, having covered in all five by an average of 11.5 points per game.

On the other hand, New Hampshire is mired in a dismal stretch… well, season. The Wildcats are 4-18, with the fourth-worst KenPom rating in the nation. They’re 3-8 against the spread as double-digit underdogs, and I expect that trend to continue.
Take Maine and the points.
Wright State (+2) vs. Youngstown State (ML: +110)
Another play based on recent trends, Youngstown State is getting the benefit of the doubt for being at home, even though the Penguins are just 3-4 against the spread at home.
The Penguins are just 2-6 against the spread in their last eight D-I games, dating back to Dec. 29. That includes a 1-2 mark at home.

Meanwhile, Wright State is in the midst of a 2-1 stretch against the spread. The last time these teams played, Wright State had an uncharacteristically poor night at both the line and with turnovers, and I don’t expect that to happen again.
I prefer the straight up play of Wright State +2, but I wouldn’t blame you for taking the +110 moneyline.
William & Mary vs. Campbell (+2.5)
A huge CAA clash makes is one of my best college basketball bets of the day. The Camels have surprised a bit in conference play and have thrived as underdogs. Campbell is 6-2 against the spread in conference, including a streak of three straight covers, beating the spread by at least 8.5 in all three.
William & Mary is the CAA favorite, but the Tribe is just 3-6 against the spread on the road. Campbell is trying to enter the conference title race, and a win Thursday would do just that. In front of a home crowd, I think the Camels can get it done.
