Arkansas has not done well ATS this season, covering in only nine of its 25 games. That mark is slightly better in conference play, with a 5-7 record ATS. However, the Razorbacks have been on a hot streak lately, covering four of its last five outings.
In terms of over/under, 16 of the Razorbacks matchups have gone under, including nine of 12 in SEC play. The under has been the successful play in their last three games.
Auburn is excellent at covering the spread. They’ve accomplished that in 15 of their 25 games. The Tigers are an even 6-6 ATS in conference play, but they’ve covered five of their past six games.
At the same mark, five of their past six contests have exceeded the listed point total. Overall, 15 of 25 games have also gone over. If Auburn covers the game, the point total will also likely go over.
Arkansas vs. Auburn CSN Power Rankings Line
Our CSN power rankings differ slightly from the AP Poll Top 25 poll, with the Tigers ranked No. 1. We have them at No. 4. Elsewhere, the Razorbacks occupy the No. 45 spot.
The line of -16.5 seems rather solid, considering the stark difference in ranking spots and the game being in Auburn.
Preview for Arkansas vs. Auburn
Auburn is the top team in the nation for the sixth straight week. They’re amid an absolutely dominant 23-2 season and 11-1 record in the vaunted SEC, solidifying themselves as one of, if not the favorite, for a national championship come April.
Arkansas is seemingly right on the bubble of the NCAA Tournament cutoff if the season ends today. They have a 15-10 overall and 4-8 SEC record—a competitive team in the conference, especially recently. Since starting conference play 0-5, the Razorbacks have gone 4-3. Those three losses came by a total of just 15 points.
The emergence of two sophomores over the past month has given Arkansas a much-needed boost.
MORE WEDNESDAY NIGHT BEST BETS: No. 4 Alabama @ No. 15 Mizzou
Point guard D.J. Wagner has stepped up his play-making ability over the past six games, averaging 5.8 apg. That’s up from his season average of 3.4 apg. Wagner also adds 10.2 ppg.
7’2″ forward Zvonimir Ivisic has produced 21.6 ppg over the three outings—a huge uptick from his average under 10 points a night.
Adou Thiero may be Arkansas’s best player, though. The junior averaging a team-leading 15.8 ppg and 6.1 RPG is a force down low, drawing fouls at a high rate and finishing well at the rim.
The Tigers have the potential Naismith Men’s Player of the Year in 6’10” senior forward Johni Broome. The Florida native leads the team in all major stat categories except steals. His 18.1 ppg is second in the conference, while his 10.9 rpg leads the SEC by a wide margin.
It’s not just the Broome show in Auburn, though. Five other players average double-digit scoring for the Tigers, who are averaging about 85 total points a game. Senior forward Chad Baker-Mazara is a dynamic scorer off the bench and second on the team with 12.3 ppg.
Auburn’s three-headed monster of guards, Denver Jones, Miles Kelly, and Tahaad Pettiford, scored 16, 15, and 13 points in the team’s victory over the Crimson Tide on Saturday.
Arkansas has revealed itself as a competitive team in the SEC over the past month, but Auburn is a different animal. Unless the Razorbacks can catch a wave of hot shooting—as they did against the Kentucky Wildcats, nailing 13 three-pointers in the victory—it’s pointing towards yet another Tigers win.
Best Bets and Final Score Prediction
Auburn has been a tremendous offensive team this season—but especially as of late, scoring 88.6 ppg over their last six outings. As part of that streak, five of their six games have surpassed the point total.

Arkansas isn’t a particularly high-scoring team, and that’s reflected in their over/under record of 9-16.
However, we’ll go with the over of 152.5 points in this matchup. It’s hard to bet against the Tigers’ scoring output when they’ve been so good at putting the ball in the hoop lately.
We’ll follow the numbers as far as the spread. It is high at Auburn -16.5, which may seem daunting especially with how competitive the SEC has been this season. But Auburn has covered 15 of their 25 games this season, many of them by double-figures. Meanwhile, the Razorbacks have only covered nine times in 25 opportunities on the season.
Take Auburn -16.5, as they’ll continue their hot streak offensively while running away with the game on their home court.
Picks: Over 152.5 Points, Auburn -16.5
Prediction: Auburn 89, Arkansas 70
