As the college basketball transfer portal has opened and the season comes to a close for most of the programs, we’re here to document what the Arkansas Razorbacks are set to lose, and what they may potentially gain.

Players Leaving Arkansas
Johnell Davis — A Florida Atlantic transfer for his fifth-year senior season, Davis averaged 12.0 ppg including a 30-point performance in the Razorbacks’ Sweet Sixteen loss to the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Davis will graduate and is expected to enter his name into the 2025 NBA Draft.
Jonas Aidoo — A 6’11” force down low, Aidoo averaged 6.9 ppg and grabbed 5.0 rpg for Arkansas in 2024-25, starting 33 games as the center. He has exhausted his eligibility and will graduate in 2025.
Casmir Chavis — A three-star recruit in the 2024 class, Chavis appeared in only one game, scoring two points against Maryland Eastern Shore in November. He’s set to enter the transfer portal and will find a new home elsewhere.
Players Joining Arkansas
No players have officially joined the program just yet, but Jon Calipari and his staff have been busy reaching out to players currently in the portal.
They began by reaching out to UCF Knights wing Keyshawn Hall, who led the Big 12 in scoring with 18.8 ppg and registered 7.1 rpg.
Sam Houston State’s Lamar Wilkerson is also a reported target after he averaged 20.5 points for the Bearkats in 2024-25.
Omaha Mavericks’ Marquel Sutton was next after helping lead his squad to the NCAA Tournament after averaging 18.9 ppg, 7.9 rpg, and 1.2 apg.
Impact on Team
While Davis’s absence will certainly impact the team, it won’t be as big of a hit as Aidoo’s. Davis was expected to be the go-to scorer but turned in a down year on the offensive end of the floor, shooting only 39.0% from the field and seeing his attempts drop with the emergence of other players around him.
Aidoo started a majority of the season down low, providing a steady presence while finishing the season strong with scoring performances of 21, 14, 17, and 22 points in four consecutive games down the stretch.
Soon-to-be junior center Zvonimir Ivisic stands at 7’2″ but saw his minutes dwindle during the NCAA Tournament. He’ll have to become more physical in the paint to assume Aidoo’s role — but look for Calipari to add to that position through the portal.

The Razorbacks finished the season on an extremely high note, upsetting the seventh-ranked Kansas Jayhawks and second-seeded St. John’s Red Storm on their way to the Sweet Sixteen after creeping into the tournament as a 10-seed.
Calipari’s first season at the helm began rocky, but his vision became clearer as the season went on. Looking forward, most of the key contributors are underclassmen who will be expected to assume similar, if not bigger, roles heading into 2025-26 and beyond.
With that in mind — and the relatively senior-laden star power in the SEC — Arkansas should go into next season with high expectations of making another deep run through the NCAA Tournament.
