This will be the first NCAA MBB Tournament since long-time CBS host Greg Gumbel passed away. He had covered college basketball on CBS since 1998, and now the current hosts will have to fill his shoes. However, the current hosts and analysts have the experience to cover one of the most popular tournaments in the country.

Full Tournament Coverage, Including Final Four:

    • Ian Eagle
    • Bill Raftery
    • Grant Hill
    • Tracy Wolfson

This is Ian Eagle’s second year calling the Final Four and a national championship after Jim Nantz stepped down from the role in 2023. The current Nets and TNT broadcaster will be joined by basketball-lifer Bill Raftery, former NBA and Duke star Grant Hill, and veteran CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson.

Up to and Including the Regional Finals:

    • Kevin Harlan, Dan Bonner, Stan Van Gundy, Lauren Shehadi
    • Brian Anderson, Jim Jackson, Allie LaForce
    • Andrew Catalon, Steve Lappas, Evan Washburn

There are many familiar faces in the Elite Eight crews. Harlan is the most experienced of the three main play-by-play broadcasters, having called NCAAT games since 1999. Anderson started calling tournament games in 2012, with Catalon joining CBS a year later. Shehadi, LaForce, and Washburn all return to the tournament as sideline reporters.

    First and Second Rounds:

    • Lisa Byington, Robbie Hummel, Jalen Rose, Andy Katz
    • Spero Dedes, Jim Spanarkel, Jon Rothstein (will cover First Four)
    • Tom McCarthy, Deb Antonelli, Steve Smith, AJ Ross
    • Brad Nessler, Brendan Heywood, Dana Jacobson
    • Gene Steratore (Rules Analyst)

Former NFL and CBB referee Gene Steratore returns to help the broadcast teams with tricky calls as the rules analyst. Other CBS mainstays like McCarthy and Dedes will rejoin the fold as well as Byington, who was the first woman to call the NCAA tournament back in 2021. Rounding it all out is the catchphrase-coining sideline reporter Jon Rothstein.
