In one of the biggest games on the college basketball schedule for Wednesday, the Kansas Jayhawks will face the UCF Knights in the Big 12 Tournament.
Here are some of the most important updates and injury notes ahead of the matchup.

Key Injuries
For the Knights, shooting guard Mikey Williams is dealing with an undisclosed injury that has him questionable for the conference battle. Senior guard Jaylin Sellers is dealing with a back issue that might make him miss the game as well.
Also, 6’7″ guard Cameron Simpson is battling an illness and might have an uphill battle toward playing tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET.
On the Jayhawks’ side of things, guard Shakeel Moore has not played since the middle of February due to a foot injury but has a chance to play tonight.
Forward Zach Clemence has not played in a game since December and has been ruled out of this game due to a groin injury.
Finally, guard Noah Shelby, who has not played in a game all year, will be out with an undisclosed injury.
Kansas Jayhawks Looking to Catch Fire
Heading into their first tournament matchup, Bill Self and Co. are looking to start a big run.
After finishing the season with a mediocre record, by Kansas standards, of just 20-11 overall (11-9 in conference). They finished sixth in the conference and, as a result, did not get a double-bye in the Big 12 Tournament.
While they have great wins over elite teams in Michigan State, Duke, and Iowa State, the losses have started to stack up.

Self and Co. have lost to struggling programs like Utah and Kansas State, which has made way for the idea that this team cannot go far in March. Wednesday night in Kansas City could be the start of yet another great run for the team from Lawrence.
After all, the Jayhawks beat the Knights in both meetings this season by a combined margin of 55 points.
However, if the game is a struggle tonight for the team, the concerns about this team likely will not go away anytime soon unless they can change the narrative with a couple of strong performances down the road.
