It’s been over a month since Lane Kiffin joined the LSU Tigers as their head coach after a successful stint with the Ole Miss Rebels. Kiffin has made a lot of progress in that month and has established himself in the new structure.
The LSU women’s basketball team played the Kentucky Wildcats at home today. Kiffin made a surprise appearance at the game with the Tigers’ head coach, Kim Mulkey, as she introduced the football coach to the crowd.
That was a gesture to say that Kiffin is now a part of the LSU system. The crowd inside the arena applauded him, and Kiffin acknowledged the warm welcome. However, fans on the internet had a very different reaction to the outing.
“Two of the most unlikeable coaches in their profession, at the same school… tracks,” a fan wrote.

“Did he have to fake a Southern Accent like the last moron LSU hired?” a fan wrote.
“College sports …the whole things reeks of greed and corruption under the cover of “development of young people” Sh*t makes me sick,” a fan wrote.
“Easily two of the least liked people in college sports,” a fan wrote.
“My how they love to honor themselves!” a fan wrote.
“And she lost. Sign of things to come,” a fan wrote.
While Kiffin and Mulkey aren’t the most loved coaches in college sports, it’s difficult to assume why they’re being hated so much. Maybe fans think that there are bigger and more important things to focus on right now.
The LSU women’s basketball team lost the game 78-80, which might’ve ticked some fans off. The idea of Kiffin being introduced to a crowd of another sport might not sit well with some fans. Since we’re guessing, the possibilities are endless.

Lane Kiffin on the Rebels’ win Against Tulane
After Kiffin left the Rebels, the program was in disarray for a while. Many fans thought their season was over without the head coach who led them to the playoffs. However, the Rebels had a big surprise for the naysayers.
When they played the Tulane Green Wave, the Rebels registered a blowout 41-10 win. Kiffin, when asked about the game and his former team, was all praise for Ole Miss.
“It was awesome, that was a great day, it really was,” Kiffin said. “I’m not just saying that. To watch those guys and how much they were smiling and The biggest game in the State of Mississippi. To blow out Tulane like that. It was awesome watching them. I was really excited for them.”
Interestingly, the Rebels are playing the Georgia Bulldogs in the Sugar Bowl today, and Kiffin has decided to skip it to watch the LSU women’s basketball team go against the Wildcats.
