Who Is Kevin Brown? All We Know About West Virginia Commit Who Lit A Couch On Fire On National Television

Four-star recruit Kevin Brown went viral by announcing his commitment to West Virginia on the Pat McAfee Show. It’s not just the fact that he went on one of the nation’s most famous sports-related shows to announce his commitment to the Mountaineers, but the way he did it.

Kevin Brown’s Athletic Background in High School

Brown was a multi-sport athlete in high school. He played football at Harrisburg High School, where he also participated in wrestling. In the latter discipline, he was a District champion and a PIAA Class 3A state tournament qualifier in the 10th grade.

Regarding his football career, scouts have praised him for his ability to return to the starting lineup at his school after missing most of his junior season with a foot injury. Due to his height not being at the top of what’s expected for an offensive tackle, he’s expected to develop in the interior of the offensive line. Nonetheless, some scouts did note that, based on his sheer talent, a career in the corners shouldn’t be immediately discounted.
