Seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton actively used his social reach to enlighten the human race about the issues going on around the world. The Briton recently took to Instagram and uploaded a story as he sent a heartfelt plea for the people suffering in Gaza.
Multiple wars have raged between the Palestinian and Israeli militant groups since 1948 over the refugees who settled in the Gaza Strip. In October 2023, Hamas’ attack on Israel started a war that has been raging for over two years, with thousands killed in the Gaza Strip.
Lewis Hamilton has often taken to social media platforms and shared posts about the war in Gaza. In the latest video story uploaded by the seven-time F1 champion, he shared Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) UK’s reel with a heartfelt plea.
The said reel uploaded by MSF was an update about the doctors in Gaza. It detailed how MSF’s permit works in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which expired on December 31, 2025. The humanitarian organisation has been trying to re-register, and concerns were raised about sharing personal information of the Palestinian staff with Israeli authorities.
The reel further detailed how over 1700 medical personnel have been killed in Gaza, and that the re-registration is still pending, as Lewis Hamilton shared the reel and called out the attempt to block MSF’s work as unacceptable.
“Gaza desperately needs aid, and any excuse to block humanitarian organisations like MSF from their work is unacceptable. These organisations must be allowed to protect the safety of their workers while also providing vital support for Palestinians,” read Lewis Hamilton caption as he shared the reel

Lewis Hamilton has over 42 million followers on Instagram, and any message shared by him has a big reach across the globe. The Briton’s mentor and former F1 champion, Niki Lauda, was also concerned about the direction the world was headed towards, and the Ferrari star shared the same concern.
When Lewis Hamilton highlighted the UN commission’s enquiry detailing the situation in Gaza as genocide
Lewis Hamilton came out in September 2025 and took to Instagram as he highlighted the situation in Gaza. The Briton detailed the impact of the attack on the Gaza Strip, the suffering of thousands of people, and highlighted how a UN commission of enquiry described the situation in Gaza as a genocide.
“The situation in Gaza is getting worse by the day. In the past two years, more than 10% of the population has been killed or wounded – including tens of thousands of children – and that number only continues to rise. The latest incursion on Gaza City has forced hundreds of thousands of people from their homes, with hospitals across the strip already overwhelmed with those suffering from famine, and casualties of the bombing that never seems to end,” said Lewis Hamilton.
“Today, a UN commission of enquiry described what is happening in Gaza as a genocide. As human beings, we cannot stand by and let this continue to happen,” he added
Hamilton has raised concerns about multiple issues across the globe and even raised a voice in the F1 paddock for the lack of diversity. The Briton also has a charitable foundation, Mission 44, to give fairer opportunities to young people and create career opportunities for them.
