‘Man Who Dressed My Coach’: Fans Left Unimpressed With Kalen DeBoer’s Striped Suit for Georgia-Alabama Showdown

Kalen DeBoer walked into SEC Championship Saturday with a calm face and a very loud suit. The Alabama head coach appeared on the broadcast wearing a sharp striped brown ensemble that immediately caught the internet’s attention.

Some fans joked about the tailor. Others wondered if this was the kind of luck Alabama needed. Either way, the fit became part of the pregame storyline hours before the Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs took the field.

“Man who dressed my coach,” a fan wrote with a heartbroken emoji.

“Nobody; Kalen DeBoer’s suit on Gameday this morning:,” a fan posted with an image of Tom from Tom and Jerry.

“Kalen DeBoer out here pimping in the pinstripes this morning. Tide by a literal Billion,” an Alabama fan wrote.

“Awful suit. We’re toast,” a fan wrote.

“Coach didn’t come to play,” a fan wrote.

“He needs to fire whoever told him to wear that God awful suit. He looks ridiculous,” a fan wrote.

This matchup carries weight for both programs. Georgia enters on an eight-game win streak while Alabama has won 10 of its last 11 games.

Kalen DeBoer On Penn State Rumors

The suit wasn’t the only conversation swirling around DeBoer this week. His name has been tied repeatedly to the open head coaching job at Penn State, a search that has dragged on since James Franklin’s firing.

He was viewed as one of the favorites for the role, but DeBoer shut down the rumors before the title game. He made it clear that he and his family are settled in Alabama.

“We’re extremely happy at Alabama,” DeBoer SAID. “We’re extremely happy here, love the challenge, love the grind, love this place. There’s never been any link, there’s never been any conversation, there’s never been any interest either way. So I’m glad we can put that to bed right now.”

Vanderbilt’s Clark Lea, Louisville’s Jeff Brohm, Georgia Tech’s Brent Key and BYU’s Kalani Sitake were also reportedly on Penn State’s shortlist, but nothing came to fruition.
