Just minutes after a fiery pre-game speech, Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Ty Simpson struggled to get going in the SEC championship game against the Georgia Bulldogs in Atlanta.
With less than two minutes remaining in the first quarter, Simpson, while throwing ina 3rd & 6 situation, threw an inaccurate pass that was intercepted by Georgia’s Daylen Everette and returned for 34 yards. This ended Alabama’s offensive run, which reached 30 yards on six plays.

After seeing this play, fans called out Simpson for making the accurate pass and costing the team a potential touchdown run.
“Why in the f*ck would Ty Simpson throw that !! wtf bench him now or we get blowed,” one fan wrote.

“Let me say this Ty Simpson has been very good for us all year long but he has went into a slump at the wrong time but nevertheless it will always be win or lose Roll Tide Roll for life for me,” one fan put it bluntly.
The Bulldogs have taken a 14-0 lead at the time of writing and it will be a big task for Alabama to win from here.
Ty Simpson Lifts Alabama With Fiery Pre-Game Speech
Ty Simpson might have struggled to start, but his pre-game energy was at an all-time high. Coming out of the tunnel, he delivered the kind of speech that lift the spirits of Alabama across the internet.
“Yes, sir! Alright, you get to play for the University of Alabama in the 2025 SEC Championship,” Simpson said. “Huh? There ain’t nothing like it. Alright? You get one shot, one opportunity. Alright? Take the most of that shit today. Alright? Let’s fucking ride. The fuck these dudes here? See what goes on today. You got me? Fuck everybody. Here we go.”

It remains to be seen if Simpson can turn this game around and continue Alabama’s domination over Georgia in SEC championship games.
