Evan Link On the Opportunity to Start For The Michigan Wolverines in 2024
Earlier this year, Evan Link spoke with 247Sports and opened up about what it meant for him to start for the Michigan Wolverines as a sophomore in the 2024 season. It’s clear that it was a transformational experience for him:
“The entire experience was a huge opportunity. Getting out there as a sophomore, you’re going to learn a lot of things that you wouldn’t be able to learn until potentially your junior year. So a lot of it was, what does real Division I, high Division I football look like on the field when you’re out there playing? And that was an invaluable experience. Now I have that under my belt.”
He also reiterated that the 2024 season was a growth process, with him being a totally different player in the way he tackled encounters by the end of the year. Link had originally redshirted in his freshman season in 2023, so 2024 was definitely a big step up for him.
