EA Sports’ College Football 26 releases to the general public on Thursday. However, players who purchased the deluxe edition or MVP bundle got early access to the game three days prior to launch.
As a result, some players have been able to play the game since Monday. Maxon Unlimited, a page dedicated to video game comparisons, shared some of the changes that make it better than College Football 25.

5 Enhanced College Football 26 Features That Make It Better Than CFB 25
#1 Improved Uniform Quality
One of the most significant improvements from CFB 25 to College Football 26 has been the uniform quality. EA redesigned the jerseys in this year’s iteration of the game and have made them look more realistic, making for a more immersive experience.
#2 Equipment Rendering Light Scatters Have Improved
EA have also changed how the game renders equipment in this iteration of the EA College Football video game franchise. With this new version, the ways in which light scatters across the equipment has been improved, ensuring fewer visual and lighting glitches.
#3 Enhanced Cinematic Crowd Renders
One of the things that EA does best is making an immersive experience. In College Football 26, cinematic crowd renders have been enhanced and made more realistic. As a result, when there are cinematic shots of the crowd before the game or after scoring, the crowd looks significantly better.
#4 Jersey Degradation and Dynamic Lighting Have Been Refined
Another aspect of the game that has been improved is jersey degradation. As games progress, there will be visual wear and tear on the player’s jerseys. While this feature was in CFB 25, it has been improved in CFB 26 and should be more realistic. Dynamic lighting with this feature has also been improved to ensure it looks more realistic.
#5 Better Filters
CFB 26 also brings a ton of quality-of-life improvements, specifically to it’s filtering system. Menus and filters have been made better, and the game’s UI has largely been improved.
