Certain groupings of players have signed an even more exclusive NIL contract with EA Sports, signified by their status as an #EAAthlete, or EA Athlete. This group is a smaller group that is set to serve as brand ambassadors for the game and likely helps with marketing the game itself to the masses through social media promotions and likely in-area events.
While the exact status of that NIL deal and contract with EA Sports is not known completely, the athletes announced their statuses with custom graphics in their school colors across their preferred social media accounts. That list included Quinn Ewers, Travis Hunter, Jaxson Dart, and several others.
The first two players to opt-in are now part of college football folklore. Alabama defensive back Malachi Moore and Ohio State CB Denzel Burke are the first two named athletes to sign their contracts with EA Sports.
They both announced their signings on social media just hours after it was announced the contracts were sent out. Find all the fellow players who signed their contracts below.
EA Sports has made a plethora of announcements around the game to start the spring. Notably, players will be paid to appear in the game, famous announcers are back as voices of the franchise, and all 134 teams will be featured.
