Bye week gives players a chance to relax, unwind and enjoy themselves off the field after constant workouts and practices. This week, Nebraska is one of the teams taking a bye week break, and quarterback Dylan Raiola and his family are taking full advantage of it. His sister, Taylor Raiola, posted photos of herself and her siblings taking a lake vacation somewhere in Michigan.
“bye week in Michigan,” Taylor wrote in her caption.
Taylor Raiola used to go to TCU and played volleyball there, though she is now supporting her brother, Dylan, over at Nebraska. While she went to TCU, her family is more connected to the University of Nebraska, as her father, former NFL player Dominic Raiola, was a former Cornhusker himself. Dominic’s brother and Dylan and Taylor’s uncle, Donovan Raiola, is currently serving as the offensive line coach for Nebraska.
As for Dylan Raiola and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the team finally received their much-needed break after their 27-30 heartbreaker against the Michigan Wolverines. That was their Big Ten debut game and was their first loss of the season after a 3-0 start. Expect the Cornhuskers to be refreshed and ready to resume their 2025 campaign after their week off.
The Cornhuskers were off to a hot start, beating Cincinnati in their opener, 20-17, before that one-sided 68-0 win over Akron. They also dominated HCU the week after in a 59-7 win, before losing that heartbreaker against Michigan. They take on Michigan State next on Saturday.

USA Today Names Nebraska’s Dylan Raiola Into Top 10 Quarterback Rankings
For much of the season, the media have mostly ignored Nebraska, including its quarterback, Dylan Raiola, who has been playing very well so far this season. However, USA Today’s Paul Myerberg finally gave the Cornhuskers QB some love after Week 5, as he named Raiola into the Top 10 Quarterbacks Rankings, placing No. 6 for Week 5.
“Even with the running game missing in action and no help from his offensive front, Raiola nearly carried Nebraska to an upset of No. 18 Michigan with 308 passing yards and three touchdowns,” the analyst wrote. “He did throw his first interception, though, part of an ugly first quarter that saw the Cornhuskers quickly fall behind by multiple scores.”
In those rankings, Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza was named the No. 1 college football quarterback for Week 5 and followed respectively by Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia, Oregon’s Dante Moore, Miami’s Carson Beck and Oklahoma’s John Mateer rounding out the Top 6. Raiola is at No. 6, followed respectively by Josh Hoover (TCU), Jayden Maiava (USC), Jalon Daniels (Kansas), and Trinidad Chambliss (Mississippi).
