Cam Ward’s Weather Troll Stirs Up Fan Fury Over 2025 NFL Draft Venue
The National Football League is all set for the 2025 NFL Draft, which will take place at the historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, over the weekend beginning on Thursday night (April 24). But the home of the Packers doesn’t seem to appeal to University of Miami’s Cam Ward, whose reaction was captured in a video shared on X, formerly Twitter, by NFL reporter Dov Kleiman.

In the video, Ward is seen walking outside around the environs of Lambeau Field as he addresses the camera. “Y’all see where we at man, we’re in Green Bay,” he began. “Aint nothing to do out here but get drafted. So we’re gonna get drafted, most of y’all know where we’re fittin’ to be at, probably Nashville, probably New York.”
He finished his thoughts with this: “If I had some advice for y’all, bring your jackets to Green Bay. It ain’t s—— to do here and it’s cold as s—— too.”
Fans’ reaction to Ward’s video was swift. Some ripped the quarterback for his comments about the weather. Ben Handelman, an anchor for Milwaukee’s WITI Fox 6, quoted the post, writing: “Can’t wait for his welcome from Packers fans tonight on the stage in Green Bay.”
Another fan named Stephania said, “This might be the ONLY time you are ever close to being celebrated in Green Bay. Enjoy the majesty that is Lambeau because the next time you’re here it won’t be as fun.”

Other fans were more supportive of Ward’s jab. “The dude was born in Texas and went to college in Miami. People getting butthurt he doesn’t like shitty Green Bay is wild to me lmao,” wrote Jack Krejci on X. “Not gone lie if they told me draft was in Green Bay I would stay home and tell them folks just film me at the crib with my family,” wrote X user Sincerely Free, capping it off with a laughing emoji.
