Neither Deion Sanders nor his son, Shedeur Sanders, is in the best place in their careers right now. While Coach Prime is struggling to win games or even avoid blowout losses, the Browns’ backup QB is not getting an opportunity to show his skills on the field.
As the Cleveland Browns enjoyed a bye week, Shedeur made a surprise trip to Colorado to meet his father, support the Buffaloes, and also get his treatment done in the facility, as he is recovering from a back injury.
As Shedeur walked into his dad’s office, leaving him totally surprised, Coach Prime asked an unexpected question, saying, “Why are you here?”
This led to a playful moment between the father-son duo as Shedeur replied, saying he knows Coach Prime needs some love and affection, to which Deion said, “I know you need it too.”
After the massive 52-17 loss to Arizona, Coach Prime opened up about seeing Shedeur after a long time during the post-game press conference.
“I haven’t seen my son in a long time. Forget the game. Forget this. Forget that. I haven’t seen my son in a long time. So that was quite emotional for me, him surprising me today in the office. That walk isn’t about nothing but him. I’m praying for him doing the whole walk, making sure he’s focused and locked in. He came and got treatment, worked out, but that’s beside the point. I’m just happy to see my kids whenever I get the opportunity. I’m still a dad,” Deion said.

Deion Sanders’ Talks Shedeur Sanders’ Mentality While Choosing Not to Go With Ravens
Shedeur Sanders had one of the most dramatic draft slides seen in recent times. While he was expected to go in the top 10 picks, he slid to the fifth round and was eventually picked by the Browns as the 144th pick earlier this year.
After a report by Adam Schefter on Sept. 13 spoke about the Baltimore Ravens’ interest in Shedeur and how the ex-Colorado star told them he wasn’t interested, many fans had questions.
During a conversation with Travis and Jason Kelce a few days later, Coach Prime said both Shedeur and he didn’t think it would be the best idea for the ex-Colorado QB to sit on the bench for 10 years and be a backup to Lamar Jackson.
“I’ve never sat on the bench and said, ‘Well, I learned a lot today,'” Shedeur said.
Colorado will face West Virginia in Week 11 at the Milan Puskar Stadium.
