Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is known for having one of the most competitive player mindsets in the history of the NFL. He was always looking to get better every year and prove that he was the best player in the world. That mindset has continued in his coaching career.
On Saturday, “Well Off Media” posted a video that included a speech Sanders gave to his players. In the speech, Sanders spoke about his mindset after winning two Super Bowls and always being focused on what’s next. Notably, he went in to work on Saturday, even though it was his birthday.
“I like the process so, the moment is tough. Like winning the Super Bowl, I remember the night we won, I was thinking about what’s next,” Deion Sanders said (16:40). “I didn’t enjoy, I didn’t even go to the party, I didn’t go kick it. I was blessed to be on two Super Bowl-winning teams. I didn’t party that night. Just went to the hotel room and I sat on the edge of the bed and I said, ‘Wow, that was it.'”
“So, now, I’m thinking, what’s next? I needed another challenge. So, that’s when I went to San Francisco to Dallas and we won again because I wanted them to know what was what. So, it was a tremendous challenge,” he added.

Deion Sanders’ Son Shedeur Apologizes to Him After His NFL Preseason Debut
Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur, is no longer a member of the Colorado Buffaloes, but he has taken his father’s mindset with him. He made his NFL preseason debut for Cleveland Browns on Friday, exceeding the expectations most fans and analysts had for him.
Despite that, in an interview on the sideline, Sanders apologized to his father because he felt he could have played better.
“Sorry pops, I ain’t do what I was supposed to do fully but we’ll live to see another opportunity,” Shedeur Sanders said.
