Deion Sanders Jr. Reveals Shedeur’s Fiery Message As ‘Sanders Men’ End Brutal Week With Georgia Tech Loss

The Sanders family is still recuperating after a tough week with Colorado football’s loss in their season opener, and Shedeur Sanders’s continuing struggles in the NFL. Deion Sanders Jr., through his wellness media company, posted an emotional message from his brother Shedeur in their group chat that said, “As SANDERS MEN we have to regroup.”

The message came only a few hours after Colorado suffered a tough 27-20 loss to Georgia Tech in their 2025 season opener. This was the first game since the Sanders brothers and Travis Hunter left, leaving head coach Deion Sanders to find a way to rebuild without his most talented athletes.

The new starting quarterback, Kaidon Salter, made his debut to high scrutiny as he took over for Shedeur Sanders. There were some bright spots in the running game, but Colorado’s defense was gashed for 320 rushing yards and fans were confused where the program was headed. That loss tied into the loss stung because of the new expectations of building a program in the Big 12 Conference.

Shedeur Sanders Faces Uphill Climb With Cleveland Browns Despite College Success

Meanwhile, Shedeur’s professional life has not been easy since leaving Colorado. After throwing for over 4,000 yards with 37 touchdown passes in his last college season, the former Buffaloes star surprisingly fell to the fifth round of the NFL draft, with the Cleveland Browns drafting him.

Currently stuck at the bottom of the depth chart in Cleveland’s third-string quarterback, Shedeur stands behind veteran Joe Flacco and second-year player Dillon Gabriel. It looks like he may have to wait a long time to get in the game unless someone ahead is injured.

The rookie’s performances were quite impressive in the preseason action against the Carolina Panthers. However he missed the second preseason game with an injury and struggled to make a mark in the third preseason game. At Colorado and Jackson State, Shedeur had a 74% completion rating and more than 14,000 career passing yards, showing the talent that led to him being viewed as the first overall pick.

The family’s issues go beyond the football field. Shilo Sanders, a former Colorado safety, had his own professional issues after being cut from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, citing disciplinary issues after punching Zach Davidson in a preseason game.
