Despite an ongoing battle with an undisclosed health issue, Deion Sanders seems to be preparing for the upcoming football season. Colorado insiders Brian Howell of BuffZone and Adam Munsterteiger of BuffStampede recently discussed what lies ahead for Coach Prime in a YouTube video posted on Friday.
Despite the fact that Sanders has been away from the Buffaloes during summer workouts, Munsterteiger is hopeful the coach will make an appearance at the Big 12 Media Days.
”I think, especially with Big 12 Media Days coming up, you just hope that Coach Prime is able to make it out there,” Munsterteiger said. “He’s still on the schedule out there, and he would be the last coach to address the media.”
The Big 12 Media Days are slated for Tuesday (Jul 8) and Wednesday (Jul 9), so the fact that Sanders is still on the schedule is a sign that the legendary head coach will represent Colorado at the event.
Coach Prime has had a long history of health issues. He had two toes amputated due to complications from an operation. Two years ago, he underwent a nine-hour operation on his foot. Last month, Sanders said his current situation “is at a whole other level” and that he has lost 14 pounds. The 57-year-old would look to return to the Buffaloes for Big 12 Media Days and recover fully from his health problems.

Deion Sanders Provides Update on Health
Deion Sanders offered a cryptic update on his health via Instagram on Saturday. Fans have been wondering if the legendary coach is ready to return to his coaching duties at Colorado.
After being away from the Buffaloes this summer, Sanders hinted that he’s returning. Coach Prime posted a picture on his Instagram story of a path lined with trees and added a two-word message.
“I’m coming,” Sanders wrote.

Sanders added another Instagram story asking the ‘Lord’ to restore him from his health issues, suggesting he’s eager to coach the Colorado Buffaloes again.

With Sanders scheduled to appear at the Big 12 Media Days and his subtle hints of a possible return on social media, fans could see Coach Prime back on the field for Colorado soon.
