“Sark Ruined Another Future Legend”: Fans Abuzz As Texas Star WR DeAndre Moore Shockingly Enters Transfer Portal

Texas junior wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. has decided to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal following three seasons with the Longhorns, as he shared his decision on Instagram on Monday.

This came as a surprise to a lot of Texas fans, considering how reports suggested Moore would not return for another college football season and would instead go to the NFL draft.

But naturally, a lot of fans on X reacted to DeAndre Moore’s departure from the Texas-based program, with Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian being in the line of fire in a lot of the comments.

“Sark ruined another future legend”, wrote a fan.

“Another solid producer hitting free agency. The portal stays undefeated”, stated a fan.

“wish him all the best but tbh I wasn’t blown away by his performance this year. we can portal and/or develop better”, said a fan.

“What in the world is going on in that locker room down in manor? This is the 17th player transferring out”, remarked a fan.

“Wish him the best! Definitely was a team guy! Good luck wherever you end up!”, commented a fan.

“I thought he was going to the fucking draft Sark why”, commented another fan.

“Sarkisian losing the locker room??!”, wrote another fan.

“He was well below expectations this year”, stated another fan.

During his tenure with the Longhorns, Moore compiled a total of 77 receptions for 988 yards and 11 touchdowns, and he will now have one year of eligibility remaining after appearing in 36 games during his time at Texas.

Colorado, Auburn Emerge As Top Spots For DeAndre Moore

With WR DeAndre Moore entering the January transfer portal ahead of the 2026 college football season, it’s fair to assume that he will be one of the hottest properties, with other teams looking to fill apt replacements in the receiver position.

One team that will most definitely eye Moore this season is the Colorado Buffaloes, considering they need depth in the wide receiver spot after their star wide receiver Omarion Miller left the Colorado-based side to enter the portal.

With the likes of wide receiver Malcolm Simmons, Perry Thompson and Horatio Fields set to enter the transfer portal, the Auburn Tigers are light on receivers, which could potentially be a landing spot for Moore come next season.
