Lane Kiffin’s ex-Ole Miss team has left everybody stunned with their thrilling Sugar Bowl win against what was considered among the best teams in college football, Kirby Smart’s Georgia.
The Rebels, who were left in the middle of their historic Playoff run by their ex head coach, Kiffin, were able to clinch a 39-34 win over the Bulldogs.
Kiffin’s decision to leave Ole Miss after the Egg Bowl win for LSU drew a lot of flak from many fans and analysts.
Talking about how Kiffin must be feeling after Ole Miss’ Sugar Bowl win, Paul Finebaum said on ESPN College Football YouTube channel on Saturday:
“I think Lane Kiffin looked like a complete fool today. What was really interesting and as we tried to explain it, but one thing we knew on Tuesday, but we learned a lot more yesterday being at the Superdome, Lane Kiffin had every intention of coming to the game and what he wanted to do was to go on ESPN and, he wanted to spew all the, you know, how how much I love these players. And I don’t know exactly what went down. I can’t tell you that authoritatively, but I can tell you that pretty matter of factly that uh nobody wanted Lane Kiffin there.”

Paul Finebaum Predicts Chaos For Ole Miss Amid Lane Kiffin’s LSU Move And CFP Semi Finals
Paul Finebaum minces no words like predicting chaos for the Ole Miss fans as the Rebels prepare for a college football semi final showdown against Miami, with the transfer portal opened on January 2.
Kiffin took a lot of the staff members to LSU with him. However, they were allowed to come back to Ole Miss to coach the team during the Playoffs. While Kiffin and Co. predicted the Rebels would be done by the Sugar Bowl and he will have his staff back at Baton Rouge for recruiting the new players, that will not be the case now.
“He [Kiffin] can’t really do much about it. It is going to be a chaotic week if you’re an Ole Miss fan watching the LSU coaches who are on your staff coaching, you trying to get to a national championship try to steal the players you were trying to win with,” Finebaum said.
Ole Miss is set to face Miami at State Farm Stadium, Glendale on Thursday.
