Deion Sanders enters another offseason facing major roster turnover in Boulder. Colorado’s 2025 season ended with a 3-9 overall record and a 1-8 record in conference play, one of the toughest stretches of Sanders’ tenure.
The struggles on the field were compounded by health issues that limited Sanders at different points during the season, adding to the instability around the program. Now, that instability is showing up in the transfer portal.
Colorado has already seen a steady stream of players announce their intentions to leave, including key recruits and transfers who were expected to play meaningful roles. Below is a full tracker of confirmed departures so far, headlined by defensive lineman Jehiem Oatis.
Jehiem Oatis
Oatis announced his intent to enter the transfer portal on December 16. A former Alabama transfer, he arrived in Boulder with significant expectations but played only sparingly, appearing in a handful of games late in the season.
His exit is the most notable name among Colorado’s portal departures, given his pedigree and prior SEC experience.
Noah King
King entered the portal on December 5. The true freshman did not see game action during his lone season with the Buffaloes, and his departure comes after spending the year developing behind a crowded cornerback room.
Teon Parks
Parks also announced his portal intentions on December 5. A former FCS transfer, he played in 10 games during the season but struggled to lock down a consistent role in Colorado’s secondary.
Omarion Miller
Miller is expected to enter the transfer portal when it opens. He led Colorado in receiving during the season and was one of the offense’s few consistent producers.
Tawfiq Byard
Byard announced his intention to enter the portal after emerging as one of Colorado’s top defensive contributors. He was the team’s leading tackler and played a key role in the secondary.
Brandon Davis-Swain
Davis-Swain entered the portal after starting eight games as a freshman. He leaves with 15 total tackles in the nine games he played in.
Carde Smith
Smith, a former four-star recruit, entered the transfer portal following limited action. Offensive line turnover remains a concern for Colorado heading into the offseason.
TJ Branch
Branch announced his intention to enter the portal after missing the season due to injury. A former four-star recruit, he leaves without seeing the field but remains a high-upside prospect.
Alexander McPherson
McPherson entered the portal after appearing in 10 games as part of the defensive line rotation. He was viewed as a developing edge option. He leaves with 16 total tackles.
Mantrez Walker
Walker entered the portal on December 1. A three-star recruit from the 2025 class, he appeared in four games as a freshman.
Terrance Love
Love announced his portal plans on November 30. He did not see game action during his lone season in Boulder.
With more portal movement expected across college football, Colorado’s list is unlikely to stop here. Deion Sanders will have a tough stretch ahead with rebuilding the program, almost from the ground up.
