Kansas State running back Dylan Edwards played four games in his second season with the Wildcats. He decided to redshirt, saving a year of his NCAA eligibility. In those four games, he made 34 carries for 205 yards and two TDs. By redshirting, he maintains two years of NCAA eligibility.
On Friday, it was reported by insider Hayes Fawcett that Edwards plans to enter the transfer portal. This is not the first time he has transferred. After playing his freshman year at Colorado in 2023, he entered the portal and transferred to Kansas State.

This led to a big reaction from fans, including some who called for Edwards to go back to Colorado.
“Come back to CU,” one fan wrote.
“Nah now. Guess the grass wasn’t geeener. He was at least famous at CU,” one fan commented.
“Bruh might as well go back to Colorado,” one fan added.
Many fans criticized Edwards for how often he has been in the transfer portal.
“Something about the grass…that everyone thinks is greener. But DE cool though. Talented kid,” one fan wrote.
“Can he be accepted back to CU? That would be awesome. He’s fast,” one fan commented.
“Disappointing. Had high expectations for him. Turns out he’s pretty soft,” one fan added.

Dylan Edwards Is Coming Off a Strong Sophomore Season
Some fans are excited about the possibility of Dylan Edwards coming to their team. Others are critical that Edwards has bounced around so much throughout his college career. Regardless, the team that picks him up this offseason will get a good running back with a lot of potential.
As a sophomore at Kansas State last year, Edwards showed why he was a sought-after recruit. He had 74 carries for 546 yards and five TDs. This was a big improvement from his freshman year at Colorado, where he had 76 carries for 321 yards and one TD.
It would make sense for the Colorado Buffaloes to try to pick him up again. The team has struggled immensely this season following the departure of Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders. So, they will likely be working hard to improve their team in the transfer portal this offseason.
