Baylor Bears Depth Chart
The Baylor Bears football team represents Baylor University and competes in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). They have been a member of the Big 12 Conference since 1997. After 64 years of playing in Floyd Casey Stadium, the Bears opened McLane Stadium in 2014.
The $266 million venue is affectionately known as "The House That RG3 Built," due to QB Robert Griffin III's rise with the program. Located on the banks of the Brazos River in Waco, Texas, the stadium, owns a unique "sailgating" tradition where fans arrive by boat to tailgate before games.
The team's colors are green and gold, and their mascot is a pair of live black bears named Joy and Lady, who reside in an on-campus habitat. Baylor fans are known for their "Sic 'em Bears" chant and hand signal, where they raise a "bear claw" by extending their arms with their fingers curled. The Bears' fight song, "Old Fite," and the "Baylor Line," a tradition where freshmen rush the field before each home game, are integral parts of the game day experience at McLane Stadium.
