EA Sports recently shared a timeline for College Football 26 updates. The game was released on July 10, although it was available on early access from July 7 to players who purchased the deluxe edition of the game.
In a tweet, EA made it clear that they have a long-term vision for the game, and that fans can expect a series of updates and additions to the game.

However, things are not done yet, as Electronic Arts is still set to update the game with important new content in the next few days. A key update will come on July 18, when the following content will be added to the title:
- Fresh Faces Vol. 1.5
- Name of the Games Vol. 2
- Standouts Vol. 2
- Fresh Faces Vol. 2
- Standouts Vol. 2.5
- Alumni Vol. 2
The content will be released between July 14 and July 20. On July 18, EA Sports will host a livestream in which they will go in-depth on what these College Football 26 updates will bring to the game. The livestream is set for 11 am Eastern Time.
In general, it’s expected that these updates will revamp some player stats, introduce new players and make some changes to players’ cards in Ultimate Team mode. College Football 26, like its 2025 predecessor, is an Xbox and PlayStation exclusive.

College Football 26 Updates: Fresh Faces Vol. 1.5 and 2 Are Releasing This Tuesday
The first new content pack to arrive in College Football 26 is the Fresh Faces Vol. 1.5 and 2. While what the update will entail has not been made public yet. EA, however, teased the follows:
“Fresh Faces Vol. 1.5 lands in #CFB26 TODAY! Get ready for another wave of players making moves and repping new squads this season.”
It seems like the update brings new player packs to the game, which include recently transferred players and legends of the game. One pack, which has made the rounds online, included Miami’s Carson Beck and Warren Sapp cards for Ultimate Team.

However, not all the fans are happy with what has been added to the game.
“Selling cfb ps and xbox coins. HMU” Complained one fan on X
“Unexpected content schedule: Functioning Hands promo” Joked another fan
Some fans did seem confused about what the update would bring:
“Will there be more players dropping or just these 2?” asked one person
Others seemed confused by Beck being downgraded:
“Thinking back to how the like 95 Carson Beck last year had 70s agility and cod and like 60s carry.” Said someone
Other fans were confused by the naming convention of the updates:
“Why are we putting old retired nfl players in fresh faces promo . Shouldn’t Sapp be in alumni” Asked another individual
Although some did seem excited:
“I can’t wait to get a sack with Sapp” Excitedly proclaimed a fan
It’s clear that there’s some confusion with regards to the content that will be added through College Football 26 updates, and time will better tell us how it improves the game. Or if it doesn’t.
