The College World Series is known to be a renowned event in U.S. college baseball. It takes place every year in Omaha, Nebraska. Since 1947, top-ranked teams have been competing for the national title.
Moreover, some schools have successfully won it many times and become champions in college baseball. Below is a list of the schools with the most wins.

1. USC, 12
College World Series Wins: 1948, 1958, 1961, 1963, 1968, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1978, 1998
The Trojans are known to have ruled college baseball since the 1970s. They have been successfully winning more national titles as compared to the other teams in the whole MCWS history.
They have been celebrated for making history by winning five straight championships. That is nearly double the total of the next closest school.
Those eras were known for also producing legendary MLB players like Fred Lynn, Dave Kingman, Roy Smalley, and Rich Dauer.
2. LSU, 7
College World Series Wins: 1991, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2009, 2023
LSU’s thriving began when Skip Bertman became their head coach in 1984. For over 10 years, he guided the Tigers to five straight national titles. They also joined only two other coaches with that tremendous win.
The renowned player Todd Walker also excelled before going to MLB. Also, in 2023, Jay Johnson guided LSU to its seventh title in just his second season.
3. Texas, 6
College World Series Wins: 1949, 1950, 1975, 1983, 2002, 2005
Texas has a prosperous baseball history with three iconic coaches and winning around two titles each.
They also won the first MCWS at Rosenblatt and have balanced their titles with runner-up finishes. Roger Clemens won in 1983, and his son Kody played in 2018, but unfortunately, Texas lost the title number seven.
4. Arizona State, 5
College World Series Wins: 1965, 1967, 1969, 1977, 1981
Similar to Texas history, Arizona State has also had some legendary wins and challenging losses.
Coach Jim Brock led them to Omaha around 13 times, making them get through 10 finals and winning five of them.
Their first-ever title team had star MLB players such as Rick Monday, Sal Bando, and Duffy Dyer.

College World Series Wins: 1976, 1980, 1986, 2012
Jerry Kindall, renowned coach of Arizona, led them to three titles in ten years. Moreover, they also won a championship as a player with Minnesota in 1956.
Arizona was known to be a stronger team in their late ’70s and ’80s and successfully won again in 2012 against South Carolina’s three-peat run.

College World Series Wins: 1979, 1984, 1995, 2004
Augie Garrido, a renowned player of Cal State Fullerton, led the team successfully for around four decades.
He also achieved two titles during his first run. He also had another success after returning in the ’90s. Lastly, he also coached Texas later in his career in a College World Series finale but unfortunately lost to his former team, which was led by George Horton.

College World Series Wins: 1982, 1985, 1999, 2001
Miami had made tremendous trips to Omaha and won four out of six finals matches.
The Hurricanes have showcased some memorable College World Series games, which consist of their 1974 loss to USC, a 1985 win against Texas, and also in 1999 against Florida State.

Minnesota was one of college baseball’s earliest dynasties, with head coach Dick Siebert guiding the Gophers to three national titles between 1956 and 1964.
The crown jewel came in 1960 during a legendary three-game showdown with USC. In Game 1, Minnesota mounted the largest comeback in MCWS history—rallying from an 11-2 deficit to win 12-11 in the 10th.

T-8. Oregon State, 3
College World Series Wins: 2006, 2007, 2018
Pat Casey ended his journey strongly by leading the team Oregon State to a national title in 2018 in a rivalry with Arkansas. It was their third championship they got, after the successful winning streak in 2006 and 2007.
