An exciting three-game series is set for this weekend between the No. 9 LSU Tigers (31-6) and the No. 15 Alabama Crimson Tide (29-8). With the end of the regular season right around the corner, the conference tournaments are set to begin in early May, and these are two teams that look to get hot again.
Both teams are looking to turn a rough patch of the season around. LSU dropped from No. 3 to No. 9 after getting swept by Auburn, while Alabama recently lost a series against Auburn and Mississippi State.

2025 Season: 5-1, 3.78 ERA, 47.2 IP, 16 BB, 71 SO
The Junior is fourth in the SEC in strikeouts with 71. In his last two outings against Oklahoma and Auburn, he threw 10.2 IP, 9 H, 4 ER, 5 BB, and 13 SO.
Saturday: RHP Chase Shores
2025 Season: 5-2, 5.12 ERA, 38.2 IP, 20 BB, 41 SO
Shores has a 7.23 ERA and 22 H through 18.2 IP against SEC teams. In his last outing, the sweep against Auburn, he threw 2.0 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, and 2 SO.

The “Bayou Bengals” will begin their weekend homestand against the Crimson Tide on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPNU. On Friday, the game will begin at 7 p.m. ET on SEC Network+. Finally, on Saturday, the hypothetical rubber match will begin at 6 p.m. ET and will be televised on the SEC Network.
