The Arkansas Razorbacks have been on fire to start the 2025 college baseball season. After dominating Washington State over a four-game series to start the year, the Hogs haven’t looked back, knocking off potential powerhouse teams and blue-blood brands left and right.
Their latest outing, however, may just have been their best as they look to contend for the SEC Championship and their rightful spot in Omaha this season.

Arkansas Baseball Powers Past UL-Monroe
The Razorbacks utilized an incredibly balanced attack in handing UL-Monroe their walking papers in their midweek series. Arkansas knocked off ULM by scores of 14-1 and 15-3, both games ending in the seventh inning.
While their bats were on fire, the Razorbacks work on the mound was simply astounding during their two-game series.
Colin Fisher fanned six of the 11 batters he faced in Game 1 while the relieving combination of Dylan Carter, Aiden Jimenez, Cole Gilber, Tate McGuire, and Will McEntire combined for 10 strikeouts over just seven innings of work in the series.
With the work on the mound doing the dirty work, it was Kuhio Aloy who became the star of the series, however. Aloy knocked in six batters in Game 1 and followed that up with four more RBIs in Game 2. It was his seventh-inning homer run in the second outing that pushed the game over the run limit as well.
Aloy essentially called game.
Now, 13 games into the season, Arkansas has put their cards on the table. They’ve shown the SEC just who they are in 2025.
And that’s a team that means business.
While Texas A&M struggled and fell from grace this week, it was the rest of the SEC powers that showed up in a big way. In fact, A&M fell from No. 1 in the most recent power rankings all the way to No. 14 while LSU, Tennessee, and Arkansas fell in line, taking the top three spots, respectively.
With a favorable schedule before SEC play begins, it’s safe to say the Razorbacks may find themselves sitting even prettier come March 14 when they travel to Oxford.
Their three-game series to open the SEC calendar will be on SEC Network+ for fans to really get a good glimpse of what this team looks like this season.
