Aloy Brothers Headline Arkansas Baseball Game Today

Arkansas suffered two heartbreaking 7-6 losses at Georgia, one of them in extra innings. Those results knocked the Razorbacks from the nation’s top perch. Arkansas, 32-5 overall and 12-3 in the SEC, is now second behind Texas both overall and in the conference standings.

Coach Dave Van Horn’s squad looks to right the ship tonight against Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the start of a six-game homestand. The Razorbacks are 23-1 at Baum-Walker Stadium. Tonight’s contest looks to be a serious mismatch as the Golden Lions are 8-26 overall, although they are coming off a three-game sweep of Texas Southern over the weekend.

Arkansas ranks third in the nation with 80 home runs, while allowing just 29. UAPB has hit only 12 homers this season while giving up 37.

The Aloy brothers, from Wailuku, Hawai‘i, are two of Arkansas’ offensive leaders this season. Wehiwa, a junior infielder, is batting .361 with a team-high 13 doubles to go along with 12 home runs and 41 RBIs. The second-team All-SEC shortstop was a freshman All-American at Sacramento State in 2023.

Younger brother Kuhio, a Big 12 All-Freshman selection at BYU last season, is having a strong first campaign with the Razorbacks. He is batting .372 with 10 home runs, a team-high 50 RBIs and 11 doubles.

Both brothers went 5-for-13 against Georgia over the weekend. Wehiwa homered twice and drove in four runs, while Kuhio added one home run and five RBIs.
